The basics

Swap trick
X% of Y equals Y% of X. 4% of 50 is easier as 50% of 4 = 2.
Find 10%
Move the decimal one place left. 10% of 74.0 = 7.4.

MyPctCalculator is a free suite of percentage calculators for everyday math -- tips, discounts, grades, margins, and more. No signup, no paywalls, and no ads placed over the tool itself.
It's designed and maintained by De Van Do, an independent developer with a background in technology. What began as curiosity about building tools for financial literacy grew into a small network of free calculator sites covering percentages, loans, insurance, and taxes.
We don't think utility websites should be aggressive about monetization at the expense of the people using them. That means no pop-ups, no mandatory accounts, no ads covering the calculator, and no dark patterns designed to make you click something you didn't mean to.
